Safeguarding policy
Posts that mention distress or suicidal thoughts show a crisis panel, and this policy covers what stays up, what is removed and who reads reports.
This page sets out what happens when someone on this forum posts about distress or suicidal thoughts. On a forum about erectile dysfunction, incontinence and recovery from surgery, those posts are a recurring category rather than a rare event. It covers what readers are shown, what stays up, what is removed, and who reads reports.
Crisis resources
When a post contains words or phrases associated with crisis or suicidal thinking, a resources panel appears at the top of that post. It shows the crisis line for the reader's own country. Readers outside the countries listed below see a link to a directory of crisis lines worldwide.
No automatic check catches everything, and it will sometimes show on posts that did not need it. That is why every post also carries a "report this post" option. Anyone can use it, including people without an account.
Crisis lines by country
The reader sees only the line for their own country.

What stays up and what is removed
Disclosing your own distress, hopelessness or suicidal thoughts stays up and gets a reply. Content that encourages self-harm or suicide, gives method or how-to detail, or glorifies self-harm is removed.
Stays up
- Saying you're struggling, hopeless, or having thoughts of suicide
- Describing how hard a condition or a recovery has been
- Asking for support, including in raw or difficult language
Removed
- Content that encourages self-harm or suicide
- Method or how-to detail for hurting yourself
- Content that glorifies or promotes self-harm
Reporting
Any post can be reported by anyone, including people without an account. Reports are read by the moderation team. Posts that disclose distress or suicidal thoughts get a reply rather than being left alone.
That reply is a standard one. It points to the crisis resources above and confirms the post has been seen. Moderators do not give medical or psychological advice, do not assess risk, and do not provide counseling.
If you are reading someone else's post
You are welcome to reply with support. Do not give medical or psychological advice, and do not discuss methods of self-harm. Reporting the post brings it to the moderation team's attention, and you can report it whether or not you reply.

What this site is, and is not
This site is
- Peer support and health information on ED, incontinence, Peyronie's and related conditions
- A forum where a difficult post gets a reply, not removal for being difficult
This site is not
- A crisis service
- Emergency care
- A substitute for professional mental health support
The forum is not monitored in real time. No one here can see where you are, and the site cannot send help to you or contact emergency services on your behalf.
If you are in immediate danger — call emergency services or go to the nearest emergency department.
